Secretary Lloyd Bentsen ’42 sat at the intersection of economics and national security, from his military service through his time in the U.S. House of Representatives and as Treasury Secretary. Although the world has changed since Bentsen’s time, his leadership and values are increasingly admired. His unique set of experiences is worth highlighting, particularly now.
The Secretary Lloyd Bentsen Endowment will honor and draw from Bentsen’s extraordinary career, with support from The University of Texas School of Law, and collaboration with centers across campus, the Strauss Center for International Security and Law and the Clements Center for National Security.
