A Journey of Courage and Love

Dana’s life was a remarkable journey of achievement, love, and courage. You might have met Dana Bindo during her undergraduate years in UT’s Honors Business program or through her active participation in sorority life, Orange Jackets, and numerous student committees. Dana’s high achievement in the Honors Business program earned her the honor of being the only student to sit on the stage during graduation.

Perhaps you got to know Dana when she attended UT Law school where she was an enthusiastic participant in Section 5’s study groups, flag football, and social activities. Her humility, authenticity, and warmth attracted a wide circle of friends. Though disciplined and diligent, Dana never seemed stressed. She made law school look easy. Her keen intellect earned her a coveted spot in the Order of the Coif upon graduation.

After law school, Dana began a successful 25-year legal career in M&A law and commercial transactions.  She started her career at Hughes & Luce in Dallas then moved to Austin to join Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.   She then joined former WSGR alums at Kastner Huggins Reddien Gravelle, and then later Huggins Reddien. Dana was a beloved colleague, and mentor to many attorneys throughout her career.

She did this all while raising three amazing kids with her wonderful husband Sean Fallon. A super lawyer and super mom, Dana made life look easy, though it was anything but. In her early 40’s, Dana began a fierce, 10-year battle with breast cancer. Eventually, two years ago, her beautiful soul was set free.

Dana’s story is one of incredible resilience and grace. Her approach to life’s challenges, always with a loving heart and a joyful spirit, inspires us to live with compassion and to face our own challenges with courage.

How to Help

Join Us in Honoring Dana’s Legacy

Dana’s friends, family, and former colleagues have come together to honor her legacy by creating the Dana Fallon Memorial Scholarship.  Once the target amount is raised, the Fallon scholarship will live on in perpetuity, meaning the gift will never be exhausted. Each year the scholarship will be awarded to provide financial support to a law student of high academic achievement, with a preference given to students who are members of the Women’s Law Caucus.

Your support for the Dana Fallon Memorial Scholarship will make a lasting impact on the lives of future law students, enabling them to pursue their education and dreams. Here’s how you can contribute:
