Thank you for your generous contribution to The Father T.J. Martinez Endowed Memorial Summer Public Service Stipend.

Throughout his life, Father Antonio “T.J.” Martinez (JD ’96) was a firm supporter of education, earning six degrees over his lifetime, and serving as the founding president of the Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory of Houston from 2008-2013. On November 28, 2014, he was called to eternal life at the age of 44.

In 2024, on the 10-year anniversary of his passing, T.J.’s family began exploring ideas on how to honor their brother at the school that meant so much to him. As of the 2025–26 academic year, which would have marked the 30th reunion of the Class of 1996, Texas Law is accepting gifts in his honor to create The Father T.J. Martinez Endowed Memorial Summer Public Service Stipend.

Through the Summer Public Service Program, Texas Law students gain valuable professional experience over the summer while providing the communities they’re working in with much-needed legal services. Much of this work happens in Texas.

This program embodies and honors T.J.’s desire to “head out and do good”, and we look forward to the inspiring work that will come from his legacy through this endowment. Thank you for your generous contribution to The Father T.J. Martinez Endowed Memorial Summer Public Service Stipend.
