Hilda Galvan is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who focuses on complex intellectual property litigation. For over 20 years, Hilda has represented plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts across the country and in the International Trade Commission. As plaintiff’s counsel, she has represented companies in the enforcement of their patent portfolios, including a semiconductor manufacturer in world-wide litigation against its competitors and a software company in multi-jurisdictional litigation against one of the largest Internet-based retailers. As defendant’s counsel, she has represented companies against allegations of trade secret misappropriation, and patent, copyright and trademark infringement. Hilda’s depth and breadth of experience in technology and intellectual property law allows her to provide strategic counsel to clients.
She has been identified by IAM magazine as a “powerhouse litigator” and lauded for her “extensive experience in big-ticket patent litigation.” According to Chambers, Hilda is prized by clients for her ability to “bring experience and strategy” to IP disputes arising in the electronics and software sectors.
Hilda is Partner-in-Charge of the Dallas Office of Jones Day and serves on the firm’s Advisory Committee. Hilda serves the community and non-profit organizations in a variety of ways, most recently as a Trustee for the University of Texas Law School Foundation and board member of the Dallas Women’s Foundation, Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation, and Parkland Hospital Foundation Board, member of the Executive Committee for the Center for Women in the Law, and Chair-Elect of the Dallas Regional Chamber.
